Had to see for myself!

It's a trail.

About as wide as Poma over at Jay.

So how about that last shot is it from the top of Big Jay looking back at the resort or the other way around. I can sort of see a trail there that makes me think it's the backside of the Tram. ???

Thanks for the pic's. What morons those guys were. But I just can't refrain from skiing Big Jay this year. I've never skied it, and I just have to do it.

Should we place some bets as to the date of the first press release of a rescue of someone from the clearcut???

You can ski Big Jay and easily avoid this monstrosity. If you're going to go over there for tree skiing you might as well ski the trees.

Big Jay skiing to me is more like Western tree skiing. Certainly not tight tree skiing but more like skiing the open 50 ft slots between the clumps of trees....fun stuff.

Well, there was some talk in the other thread about avoiding Big Jay for philisphical or moral reasons. Let the mountain heal, kinda talk. I just don't think I could do that. It's just begging to be skied.

All I've heard is people talking about avoiding the illegal trail, not all skiing on Big Jay (and Little Jay and beyond). Hopefully whatever steps are taken this fall will help the cut regrow and avoid erosion.
