Well a few of us...who had set some hopes of doing a winter hike today around Big Squaw Mtn...outside of Greenville, ME today...expecting to circumnavigate a dormant ski area, were pleasantly suprised to run into an Opening of the lower mountain!

The whole lower mtn, except two trails(Wilson Falls & St.John) looked in good shape..with the snow accumulation they've received.
Didn't have a pen on me, so the schedule is as I remember the plain paper taped up onto the single-room skishop doorway...although the Mtn's website( http://skibigsquaw.com ) should have more
accurate info. Haven't fully read the BDN article....Banner-sign was saying that today(Sun) WAS the re-opening...whatever...a nice relief for the wallet, if just to get feet onto the mountain.
Weekends...............9-4
Mon, Wed, Fri..........Noon-4pm
Closed Tues & Thurs.
$25/day...y/n?(noticed a $37/day..??on a door, maybe with rentals????)
