All voluntary & no frills, but another classic area rises from the ashes of NELSAP.

That trail map brings back memories from growing up. I had a lot of fun trips with the ski club and my family there.

1151 ft. of vertical isn't bad for that area of NY and with the lake effect snow it could be a cool spot. I hope I get to try it out sometime.

Does it get lake effects snow that far east of the great lakes?

I just Googled it and read it gets most of lake effect snow from Tupper Lake.

What surprise what I say next but town of Roxbury NY gets plenty of lake effect from the great lakes which is few hundred miles away, so do several Western Catskills hills, Bearpen to.

That would just remnants. Now Snow Ridge gets lake effect snow. Lake effect in my book is dumping at rate in excess of 6" an hour. Osceola just south of Watertown has seen 50" dumps overnight.
