The WF=Okemo thread got me thinking again about a topic I had on my mind last fall. Many Azers have 'home' mountains that they seemingly will defend until the death. Heck, I used to be guilty of the same to an extent with Stowe a couple of years back when that was my stomping grounds. These Azers passion for their home hill borders on fanatical and whenever a 'best' topic comes up, they put up their arguement for their home mountain Steel Cage match style in unrelenting fashion.

So, who takes the cake as the biggest AZ homer?

Ready set vote!!!! :spin:

Definitely DMC with Hunter..he might as well be named Hunter-DMC..because when people bad mouth Hunter..DMC is on it like a hobo on a ham sandwich..

BushMogulMaster with Sugarbush..especially Sugarbush North(Mount Ellen)..he's never even skied Stowe..lol

Although I come off as a Blue fanboy..I am quick to criticize the place. But my current Tri-fecta is Blue mountain for PA...Stowe for the East..and Jackson Hole for the West..probably because those are the three mountains I ski at the most..and every season..does Homer mean fanboy???

But Hunter has a bad reputation...is it worth your energy to defend it??? I'd rather the mountain be empty..

Done. Thanks for including me, but you should have added the rest of the Sundown crew to the list too. It's a group effort... ;)

Tie between dmc and HPD. Gonna be a tough choice there.

Gotta go with HPD, I guess. I almost used join date as a tie breaker, but they registered only a few weeks apart. HPD does have a Whiteface logo as his avatar which is pretty homer-esque though so HPD gets my vote! Congrats buddy!

The poll seems off due to the hissy fit HighPeaksDrifter had when his beloved "Iceface" was compared to "Slowkemo"...lol

Most of the people in the poll are gapers

Can I get a nomination for Steve and earning your turns? ;)
Now you are talking ;) Though for all my talking of earning turns, the vast majority of my days are lift serviced and I own no allegiance to any particular mountain.

I am surprised Greg is on the list for Sundown rather than Bush or Loaf :spin:

My biggest contention are those willing to put their "home" mountains above all others. Every mountain has its pluses and minuses. Everyone can have a favorite but there is no one size suits all "best" mountain. I will be the first to line up and loudly proclaim the weak points of my favorite mountain. I will also be the first to line up and proclaim the weakness of your favorites as well ;) I am equal opportunity on positive and negative aspects, that includes turn earning.

DMC is most worthy of this honor…if it is an honor, so is BMM.

Fine with me if you think that, but didn't I finally get you to admit that you never skied WF? I know I remember a post where you didn't know that the Summit chair go to the actual summit of WF. I don't know how anyone could ski there and not know that.

I just don't believe you've ever skied WF. I can't get past the summit chair thing. Let me try to give you the benefit of the doubt, maybe the summit wasn't open the days you where there. Just tell me this, does the gondi go to the summit of Little WF?

Bump for stoke..

Looks like you want to keep it going, so why won't you answer my question?

I just don't get why you won't answer my simple question. If you skied there it's easy, if you're the bullshiter I believe you are you would still have a 50/50 shot at a guess. Maybe you're afraid you're missing something? Maybe, maybe I'm setting you up, but if you have skied there you have nothing to worry about.

If we learned anything from former Pres. Clinton it's that it isn't the deed that gets you in trouble, it's the cover up.

Forth request Cheese, how about it?
