Today at Blue mountain the true mountain was totally legit.

I pulled into the upper lot around 330PM and it was 55 degrees under Sunny skys. I was a two layer player rocking a polo shirt and fleece and I was really warm, even with my helmet vented to the max. No gloves because gloves are for gapers when it's over 50 degrees. I first skied Vista to Midway to lower Main Street to the shuttle to the lower park. The snow was more corn than applesauce..a little bit faster than yesterday. At the top of the 6-pack, I waited about 25 chairs for Atomic Jeff. I saw Epicski Bruce in his Kilt..A-Jeff and I first skied Challenge which was a corn and mashed potato parfait..I got mad steezy air off the falls and landed on the backside of a slushbump..it felt like the pillowdrops that Glenn tackles at Winter Park.

On to the bumps..wow Barneys was sa weet. The bumps on the top half were a little irregular but the lower section was great. Corn faceshots galore. Rodney and his crew were out grilling up steeze and Bruces buddy who is double my age was tearing it up in the Biz-umps. After 4 bump runs in a row..A-Jeff peaced out. I hit up some saweet fresh groomed corn on X-ing..100 yards of pure smooth bliss...then back to the piles on Main Street which I straight lined..back to the 6-pack and I decided to give my legs a break and ski some other runs. Dreamweaver was pretty sweet and I found some fresh cord..don't tell anybody but Switchback was good..and Paradise was nice with alot of base but some skeet spots. It's sad that Blue will be closing soon which is more reason to take advantage of the outstanding spring skiing. I left around 6PM and called the BMDI to order Corned beef and Cabbage to go which I'm eating right now washed down with Long Trail Blackberry Wheat..Living the dream..just another day in Paradise..

When is the expected closing? This stretch of warm weather put a quick stop on the growing bases up north and will certainly end many areas in the southern country earlier than normal.

They are closing on Sunday..due to lack of people..not snow..there is a deep base still and all trails are open...the good thing for Blue season passholders and other passholders is that Camelback is free for the rest of the season for season passholders at other mountains and of course..Hunter has the free day on April 5th..so my season pass keeps paying for itself after Blue closes..

Atomic Jeff took some pictures..maybe he'll post them for stoke!!!
