Resort or Ski Area: Blue Mountain, PA

Conditions: Mostly groomed granular, and packed powder

Trip Report: Got up to the valley lodge around 9:30, fairly empty.

Hopped on the 6-pack, incredible lift. Probably the fastest one I've been on, only 3 minutes or so to the top.

Did paradise the first run, very nice...inch or two of loose powder on top of soft packed powder.

Razor's Edge-Best around 11:30 when the sun was shining on it, some annoying ups and downs on it, probably not groomed that well from the snowmaking last night.

Challenge/Falls-Decent bumps developed on skiers right, left side was a bit scratchy, but still fun. Falls was great for blasting down....couldn't tell you how the surface was, never made a turn on it.

Lazy Mile - Pretty good all day long, got groomed around 3:30, which kept it from getting too bad.

Main Street - Run of the day, probably skied it 15 times. Sun was shining on it, 2-3 inches of powder on all of it until the intersection at the bottom with Chute/Midway. Could not find a bad section on the upper part.....very strange how silent it was while sking through it. Small bumps were developing across the whole thing in the afternoon.

Switchback- Ice/Hardpack in the morning, had a groomer on it around 2ish, and was nice afterward.

Raceway - Had some gates set up for practice, still almost perfectly groomed when I hit it around 10:30.

Other notes: There was a park on Come Around, but it looked like it was going to be taken down soon, as Sidewinder Park, and Lower Sidewinder opened around noon. They appeared to be attempting to cut the halfpipe....groomers were moving around in it all day, yet nothing ever looked to change.
