i used to ski roundtop every year in middle school and high school during feb vacation. My cousin lived in lancaster and we would visit for that week. My uncle would take us there for a night of skiing. Granted, its been a long time, but they always had bumps on the trail all the way over, lookers left. Ironically, i think the name of the trail was Gunbarrel. I also remember it having a real nice pitch, on the top half at least.

I was at Roundtop last season for the PA J-4 Championships with my son and know the trail of which you speak. Unfortunately the top (which I agree is steep but short) was too icy to ski that weekend (and actually closed) but the bottom section was fun.

Not to be picky but I don't consider Round Top to be part of the Pocono's. The Pokes are higher in elevation and IMO have better snow conditions. Weather in the Poconos is much more similar to your weather in CT then down by Harrisburgh. The trio of Elk, Blue and Camelback are quite entertaining.

Gotchya. I have skied camelback a few times also. It was groomed out completely and i was also busted for skiing a closed trail. the patrol made me go into their shack and watch a 1/2 safety video.

no grassi, not that kind of safety.....

They'ed still bust you for skiing a closed trail or in the woods when its skiable. Camelback has their own Rangers just not as famous as Blue's. But its not the same Camelback as it was under Sam Moore. Art allows moguls.

I don't think that's the best route though. Probably across the tappanandyzee and over to Scrotum/Wilkes Balls and then go down......

Dude, you owe me a new keyboard, I mean that was so freaking funny I just spit all my coffee out on my KB. Had to plug another one in. I mean that was freaking hilarious. You ever consider becoming a comedian. Would beat stocking shelves.

Our bump group skis Roundtop most Sundays. Y'all come on down. This year they have dedicated the entire Recruit trail to bumps and seeded some really sweet lines. Last year they had the line on Gunbarrel like Knees sez.

- Prob. visiting relatives in Hudson Valley and/or CT also Feb/Mar and would love to visit Sundown
- Will definitely hit SB for Bumpapalooza East whenever it gets scheduled
- Once things close down here in late March, will be doing some weekends up in VT: Prob. SB, K, Jay and then maybe SB near closing like we did last year.

Say, what is that red thang in your new avatar? Is it a you-need-a-thneed? An Ocean Survival Suit?? A Snuggie???
