Wow today was my first ever true blubird powder day at Burke. Burke is in phenomenal shape and got almost two feet these past three days. Last night we got another 3-5 inches and covered the glades nicely. To top it off today was a true bluebird with not a cloud (not even one) in the sky all day. It seemed more like Tahoe or Winter Park than Burke, riding was just off the hook. The snow was heavish but rode nice and fast. The glades were just out of this workd with a deep deep base and fresh tracks on every turn. We rode Sasquatch (twice), Powerline (twice) Caveman, Dixiland, Throbulator and an unmarked gem on the east side. Each of those runs were first tracks and fresh tracks all day under the sun. On the westside and central we did Jungle, Birches (twice, maybe three times), Marshes, Scooby and Scrappy (twice each), Firburger (three times?) and a few select unmarked glades which were knee deep powderrific.

Crowds were non existent like ususal but there were many more people on the mountain than yesterday. L0ocals came out to en joy the day which was amazing. Temp stayed in the mid twenties but felt like mid forties under the sun. The snow softened up just a bit into days end but it was cold enough to keep it fast. The snow cover on the mountain is the best I have ever seen it and this last dump which was supposed to be a downer became one of the best post storm conditions I have ever skied anywhere around the world. Tons of snow left so make the trip and you will not be disappointed.
