Opening day Friday, four feet of snow in the last 7 days!

My first day of the season, wahooo!

Nice! We thought about heading over there but opted for Killington Friday. Is that the sweet Vista Glade?

Sorry for the lack of words on the initial report -- I let a picture speak 1000.

In short, the best (lift served) opening day I've ever had. As you all know, it dumped in northern VT several feet of snow over the course of several days last week. Monday, Tuesday, and into Wednesday. I was kicking myself for missing the pow day --

Then I caught wind that Bolton Valley was OPENING on Friday, and miraculously the new england weather stayed cold without the typical warmup, re-freeze, rain, freeze, cycle...
Bolton reported 44"-48" inches of fluff. Over the few days without much ski-er traffic aside from perhaps snowmakers or the earned turn crew -- I was able to re-capture that missed powder day on tuesday with a delayed pow day on Friday! It was unreal.

Some fresh tracks every run, all day. Glades day 1? yep. Fantastic, cold light pow, perhaps condensed down due to settling/gravity, but still felt like 12"+ in almost all places... (except those wind exposed areas)

First time at Bolton Valley too, won't be the last!

I skied there last year thought the place was awesome like the terrain and they get plenty of natural snow!
