Hahaha! Me, too, only I paid $40 used. supreme 3000s rock! (or at least, did)

When I played HS hockey (92-95), there were basically 3 skates:

Bauer 3000s
Micron 10/90s
Tacks 652/552

There were always a few kids with Daoust or Graf skates but the above 3 were the shit. Tacks felt weird to me. The Micron 10/90s are possibly the best skates ever made IMO. Mine got stolen :(

Anybody who makes something to sell prices it to the market. If you can't make money at the market price, you get out. If you can make a good profit you generally take it. Who ever says, "No, I'd rather not have a raise ever, or have any money for R & D, lets just sell this ski boot for less than someone is willing to pay...."

I wasn't questioning that. I was merely questioning how much that is a factor versus increased cost of production. It appears as if the former is the primary factor.
