Date(s) Skied: Breckenridge
Resort or Ski Area: 2.23.11
Conditions: packed pow, sunny, windy, 30s
Conditions: Another bluebird day in Summit County. Kids recovered so off we went for some family-style skiing at Breck. We started on Peak 9. Megan's been bitten by the Nastar bug so we decided to take a bunch of runs in hopes of scoring her first medal, which she got on her 5th run and 6th runs.
I raced too, kept getting silvers. i shaved time off my runs each time and got to .5 sec from the gold but couldn't seem to do it.
After lunch we headed over to Peak 7 and did a bunch of cruisers. The snow was good but getting firmer every day, fresh snow would be welcome. We hit some "beginner glades" at the top of Peak 7 which Megan really enjoyed.
Finished the day with some runs down Peak 8. Conditions much firmer there and i dare say it was almost icey.
I had a blast in the Nastar race, i can see myself doing more of it.
