Everybody has had good advice, definitely get well hydrated even before you get here it does make a big difference. I would take it pretty easy on the beers the first night too.

As far as the Breck goes you should ride the imperial chair to the top and traverse over to Whales tail and even farther (go all the way to the boundary line and ski that all the way down). The south side of Peak 10 is steep and usually holds some good snow, but it has a long flat runout. The windows are great tree skiing and if you're motivated you can hike farther back for some of the goods.

Everybody has been saying go to A-Basin and it is worth the trip to experience the mtn, but they just have not been getting the snow that some of the resorts farther west have. If I were you I would not miss Vail. For someone who has never skied out west the bowl skiing at Vail should be experienced.

Lots of good places to grab drinks and food in town here, as previously mentioned the Breckenridge Brewery is good (half price apps for happy hour). Another good place for happy hour is the mexican place Mi Casa, cheap pitchers and wings. Fatty's is a great pizza shop and right across the street is Angel's Hollow; a cool little place with some character.

As far as demoing goes I don't know if you are already lined up somewhere but if not you should go to AMR (right by city market) the owner Dave is a great guy, very knowledgeable and has a pretty good selection. Feel free to shoot me a PM if you want to meet up for a beer or possibly a day at the mtn.

Nice blue bird day today, hope you were able to enjoy it. Tonight was just as clear and full moon to boot. Ski Stef and I just got back from skinning Peak 7 and ripping some fresh groomers on the way down. Going to sleep good tonight.

I was just out there last week. They really need more snow this year! Early season conditions in the imperial bowl and T-bar. Watch out for rocks! Be sure to take imperial up and take the traverse over the back to "whale's tail/Peak 7 Bowl" Whale's tail is great this year!!

I did not go to copper this year because if Breckenridge doesn't have snow, Copper certainly doesn't (they get about 1/3 of what breck gets unfortunately because they are behind it or some kind of weird canyon issue).

However, Copper is my all-time-favorite!! Park in the main parking lot (FREE by the way) and walk to Superbee! Be sure to ski the mountain chief lift in the back bowl and the storm king poma. If it's open (it isn't yet), to avoid going across the entire mountain and back up to get from the superbee to the back bowls, take the trail labeled "lilly G Traverse" (it is labeled a double black, but it is really only a single) from the top of the storm king poma to the blackjack lift in the back bowl.

Right now all the snow seems to be on the other side of the Vail pass, so try to visit Vail once during this trip. Trust me, it is worth it. When you go there, start at the "golden Peak" area and ride Northwoods to the top and ski the back bowls and blue sky. NEVER go back over the front! Eat at the 2 Elk resteraunt!

Have fun!
