I skied at Bretton Woods all day yesterday. Another very mild day, snowing lightly all day. I call it "Bretton Flats", as I am a Cannon skier, and at BW you can pretty much point 'em straight anywhere on the mountain. I also like to ask anyone who goes by "Are you Bode? Are you Bode?". This is really funny, especially after a few cocktails. Anyway...
The skiing was good, about 3" of fresh snow, with very firm surfaces underneath. A couple of the trails, I would guess they were trails with no snowmaking, were 2-3" of fresh over grass. I may have dinged up my newly tuned skis on these trails. I didn't even attempt any glade trails as you could see the underbrush sticking up through the snow. It was a great day though, always good to be outside, and the best trail of the day was the Waumback Trail. (Thats probably misspelled). I will be skiing Cannon today from 2 to 4, like I do every Tuesday!
