Showed up at noon for a half day session. Crowded but the lift line wait was 5 minutes at the worst. Beautiful sunny weather in the 40s. Snow was slushy so, kind of awesome. We banged around for a couple of hours and had beers. I was badly hung over so skiing was the best thing I could be doing.

A bunch of us stayed at my friends cabin in Bartlett. It rained all night. Not good.

Today we showed up by 10. It was windy and overcast but temps were in the 30s. Took one run and called it quits. Unbelievably scratchy and just not fun. With my recovering knee I've become a tremendous pussy about conditions. We had drinks and people rotated out taking runs. All in all it was a fun few days in the Mt Washington Valley.

We had a chance to stay with a friend in Bethlehem this weekend. Skied at BW on Saturday. Got on the hill about 9:00 and left at about 2:00. First few runs had a mix of softening snow with some boilerplate. Very little snow anywhere there wasn't man made and bases were thin (not bare) in many places. Things softened up and skied pretty nice as the day went on. Talked with folks on a lift who said Attitash was in much worse shape. We had intended to ski Sunday as well but decided that with the limited terrain it just wasn't worth it. Was raining hard in Bethlehem when we went to bed Sunday night. I don't think it got below freezing the entire time we were in Bethlehem. Looked like there had been at least a little snow in the notch as we drove through coming home this morning, though Cannon looked pretty worn as well. Really, really, really need some snow.
