Spent a great day at Bromley showing some visiting teenagers around. While they took a lesson in the morning I had a blast sampling all the east side trails...I'm always impressed with the quality of the terrain Bromley offers for a wide range of skiers. The blacks on the east side have decent pitch and follow the mountain nicely, lots of twists, bumps, I even found a "chute" (ha!) to practice getting through.
After lunch I slowed down, rested my legs and had fun skiing with my guests down the greens and took one of the girls for what was for her a thrilling first blue run. I had kind of dreaded spending precious mountain time chaperoning beginners, but was pleasantly surprised to find that taking a breather and seeing skiing through the eyes of a beginner again is a really nice way to spend an afternoon.
I only encountered bare spots on one trail (Yonder), and those spots were small, in the trenches sort of things. Coverage in and out of the trees is fantastic. Bromely will be in great shape right up until thier announced closing date of 4/7. They will close with lots of snow, but understandable given the reality of running a business.
