My teenage boys have a Friday off from school in a few weeks and I want to do a day trip to mountain we haven't been too before that is not much more than an hour drive from Lincoln,Nh. We have the super pass so usually ski at Waterville , Canon or Bretton woods. I suppose Sunapee is an option because we could go there on the drive up from Boston on Friday morning rather than heading up to Lincoln Thursday night. Thanks in advance for the advice.

Welcome to the boards. It really depends upon what you all like to ski. What kind of terrain do you prefer?

Hard to say a few weeks from now. Wildcat was fantastic today. Rode the chair with a guy who skied Burke yesterday and he said the conditions were even better there.

I like long cruisers, don't mind steeps but have to stay away from bumps due to knee injuries. The boys like to mix it up. They like the woods but not all the time. Thanks

Sounds like wildcat is right up your alley.

Had a great day at wildcat today. Thanks for the advice. Loved the fast trip to the top and the long cruisers. The views were tremendous! The moguls and woods were very hard and crusty due to the changing temperatures . The sun was shinning all day. We are glad to have tried something different but happy to be headed back to Canon tomorrow.
