Location
A minute from the Alta exit off the I-15!
Time skies: 8:30-3:30
Conditions: Everything
Weather: AM: 30, snow squalls, windy PM: 40, partly cloudy, windy

Hopped on the Top Flight Quad with 15 others in line for first tracks. First run, Dipsy, was epicly awesome! I lapped the main mountain until 11, when I went to the triple. I was very disappointed that Downspout was groomed. It's a good mogul trail in the spring. I went to lunch, then out again for some terrain park laps. I did my fist 180 on a box (yes!). More of the same, Butternut cruising terrain. Conditions went from pp, to soft, to ice on Pied Piper. Thin crowds, 5 minute wait or less on Top Flight. 25$ tix till the rest of the season. For 25$, it's worth it.

Thanks for the TR, and congrats on the 180. I skied Butternut for the first time earlier this year and really liked it. Nothing even remotely challenging about it (easiest black diamond trails I've ever seen!), but something about the prevalence of pines and the way the sun sets through the trees makes it a really nice place aesthetically. I like how the lifts are laid out too... as you come toward the end of the trails on skiers' far left, you can see what the lines are like on 3 or 4 different lifts and can choose whichever's shortest.
