So I was up in Vermont Mon, Tues and Weds where despite this crappy year it wasn't too bad at Killington, Okemo and Bolton Valley. Was skiing with the wife which is a little more laid back so I'm not going to provide TR's just say it wasn't terrible and I had a good time at all three mountains. Wed night we got the call that my sons race schedule for this weekend at Elk had changed and the slalom which was supposed to take place Sunday had been switched to Friday. So we woke up to some rain this morning in Rutland and decided to skip a 1/2 day up there and come home. Got home at noon to a beautiful warm day in NNJ. Had to then go up to Camelback and get the slalom ski's before the race room closed. Since I was there I wasn't going to pass up the opportunity to ski. Two words today: Asp bumps. 8)Beautiful soft mounds with some fairly nice lines in them. 12 runs all Asp till the light faded. Rest of the mountain looked ok but it was one of those great spring bump days.

Ditto on the asp bumps.. they were awesome yesterday.. couldn't have asked for a better ski day in the poconoes. Only thing is why do people feel the need to bring 9 yr olds on they only bump run on the mt. When the kids clearly should not be on bumps.

At least it's good to hear they have a bump run now, I was there a few weeks ago and there were no bumps. Would consider going tomorrow night now that I know, but it's supposed to rain tonight and tomorrow apparently.

The lack of bumps up until now has had more to do with the weather then the mountain. I can tell you that usually there would be more bump skiing then there has been this year. There is an issue with snowmaking equipment on one trail that usually has bumps. Next season I would expect it to be bumped up again. All that being said management is noticing the interest in bumps and may have more in store. I'm still pushing for 1/4 of Cliffhanger (3/4 groomed).
