A slightly different kind of report. Skied the homestead all week. I think I encountered every type of snow and weather condtion imaginable. Sun, wind, snow (flurries) and rain. Pocono pavement, spring snow, cord and manmade powder all in one week. The mountain is doing as well as could be expected. They crank up the guns whenever possible and were even able to expand terrain during the week. They are now up to 20 of 34 trails and even with mother nature at its worst they were providing some good sliding. With the exception of Thursday afternoon the crowds were manageable. Talking with the head of snowmaking they are planning an all out assault with the cold weather this week. While expansion of the terrain is part of the plan I was glad to hear that getting more snow on existing terrain was a high priority.
