Date(s) Skied: Sunday 12/5/10
Resort or Ski Area: Cannon, NH
Conditions: Slick, some PP in places, light snow falling and in the upper 10s
Trip Report:
Got up there around 1:30 and it was clear that they had a good amount of people earlier. Everything was pretty slick, with the worst being upper Gremlin and Toss-Up. The Links were interesting, some parts of them had good snow while others were scraped pretty badly with some pushed up powder to make distant turns in. Lower Gremlin was pretty good cruising, about the only spot on the hill for that. Mid Cannon under the lift was ok... pretty slick down the middle but enough loose granular down the sides. The pitch above the triple was ok in some places and slick in others. Toss-up had a few bump lines, but really badly scraped in other places and thin coverage.
The good news: not gonna see temps above 30 for a long time. They were blowing mid Ravine and Bypass today and will be spending more time on Toss-Up and lower Cannon tonight. After that, the frontside is next... can't wait to hit Rocket and Gary's. I'll be out again next weekend, IDK where yet. Burke's opening but I'm not gonna bother if it's just Sherburne like last year.
