Conditions: Spring, Sunny with 50s low, 40s high
Trip Report:
Rolled in around 2:30 as a pit stop on my way home from school. Place was dead, parked in the front row (only 1 row of cars parked in back lot). Started off on the front 5 with runs on Paulies, Rocket, and Zoomer. Lots of bumps on the sides of the trail, but WAY too soft. No ski is big enough to stay afloat in the snow the bumps contained yesterday. Headed up for for a couple... hit Vista and Upper Hardscrabble. Vista had less deep snow in the bumps so they were very nice. Hardscrabble was groomed with lots of bare spots. Mid Hard was closed, so hit lower which was also groomed and fast. Took one more run down Bypass to Paulies Ext to lower Cannon. BIG bare spot at the top of Rocket, very visible from 93 as well.
I imagine it's a rink up there this weekend. Mittersill is closed now (probably no snow left up there) but they'll slowly be recovering with snow showers through the weekend. I'll probably be at Wawa tomorrow night and one night this week as well.
