Decided to make the trudge down from mid Maine for the 2 for 1. It was busy but never any wait longer than 5 mins max on the lifts with the exception of the tram which was a little backed up mid morning and Zoomer which seemed to be crowded but still not much more than 5 mins wait. By 130 or 200 it began to thin out, by 300 the lifts were ski directly on.
The groomers did a nice job but a lot of the trails started to get skied off by mid afternoon but there was still plenty of good runs through 3PM. Lots of snow blowing on front 5 kept that area soft throughout the day.
Early morning my top runs were Taft-Upper Ravine-Short Fuse-Lower Hardscrabble-down to Peabody Chair. Avalanche was fun but got icy very quickly. Zoomer run was always enjoyable with continuous snow blowing on it. Late day my pick was Tramway-Middle Cannon- any route back to Peabody as the snow was consistent late afternoon on those trails as well as Cannonball on upper mountain which stayed fairly consistent throughout the day.
