Conditions: Overall, surprisingly good, considering that there really hasn't been any significant natural snow fall since the last rain and freeze up. The mountain did a very good job making most trails skiable, the surface edgeable and most trails that have snow making, actually quite enjoyable.
Conditions varied from loose man made, packed powder, firm, hard packed and of course there was the underlying ice here and there. One just had to be really on and keep a keen feel as to what was underneath the skis. This coming from somebody who really doesn't like all that much skiing on man made, hard packed snow, I and my whole family had a really decent day.
What helped, of coursse, was the two-fer deal (Superbowl Sunday), light crowds and very little wind on the lower part of the mountain. There was a fairly stiff breeze on the top, but the tram was running.
The temps in the low teens, so being dressed for it was important.
There were some flakes flying but no accumulations.
