Trip Report:
So today I finally made it up to Cannon this season and wow what a couple of hours north will give you! I ended up heading up north with a good friend of mine who hasn't skied in years. Today was a bluebird day with the wind blowing in and really cold, fast snow from the summit. I was anticipating it to be packed, but it wasn't. I guess with no snow as far north of Plymouth, NH, people's thoughts are rapidly turning to spring However, as reported on their website they were still blowing snow today on Middle Cannon and Lower Cannon. Speaking to one ski patroller, they are determined to make it into April... So basically, up top we hit Vista, Tramway, Cannonball, Upper Ravine, and Taft. Mid Mountain was Lower Hard Scrabble, Short Fuse, Middle Cannon Bypass, Middle Cannon and the links trails. Lower Mountain was all about gremlin, Lower Ravine, Turnpike and Time Zone. Finally of the Front Five we only hit Zoomer, Rocket... All in All a great day! Here are some pictures for your Naked Steaming Eyes!
