RANDOLPH, N.H. (AP) — Some hikers in New Hampshire’s White Mountains got an unpleasant surprise when they returned to their cars during the weekend.
Police saidy about a dozen and a half cars parked at trailheads were vandalized Friday night.
Randolph Chief Allan Lowe said windows were smashed and items apparently stolen from four cars parked at trailheads in his town. He said he found items including clothing scattered by the side of the road. He also found a wallet, with no cash.
Lowe said another 12-15 cars were hit in Pinkham Notch, near Mount Washington.
