First of all Merry Christmas!

I'm thinking about heading up the thruway to grab some turns tomorrow. Gotta test out the new boots I got from Santa :) . Can anyone tell me if it will be worth it at Belleayre/Hunter/Windham? I'm not sure how hard they got hit by this last weather pattern, and their snow reports are not helping much. I know I can't expect TOO much but I just want to avoid boilerplate ice everywhere. Thanks all!

Wed at Belleayre should be an awesome day with partly sunny skies, temps in the 40s. Head for Upper Seneca and Upper Yahoo where they have been making snow. New snow, partly sunny, 40 degree temps, life is good. Down here in Woodstock area we still have plenty of snow in my backyard.

No idea about crowds, but Hunter has resurfaced pretty much everything that's open, and it looks like with the exception of Upper Taylor's, the trail count is back to what it was before the r*in

I am in Halcott now, just outside of Fleischmans, minutes from Belleayre - drove up today. There was a lot more snow on the ground from Kingston - Woodstock than there is remaining up here. I was up on Saturday - glorious day - but today if you went for a hike up here you would not need snowshoes. Ground is about 50% exposed everywhere (I don't mean on the slopes of Belleayre), and the remaining snow is very hard and icy. I would agree with this post by MarkC, the storm on Sunday and the warm temps took 18 inches of snow since that great day. It must have rained a lot harder up here on Sunday than at lower elevations. My buddy skied Belleayre today. He said it was OK, but stopped at lunch. He said Overlook Lodge was crowded with lots of people "camping out", but no big lift lines. Forecast for tomorrow looks like about a 23 degree start, up to 37 at 1 PM, cloudy.

Hunter was good today... Storm didn't take away too much snow...
Some brilliant snow on Minya and Cliff - Racers was downright scarey...Crazy - kickery kinda jump off a whale on Hellgate... The bumpers were digging X-Over...
Claires is closed.. Wayout is open and FAST...

they are making snow now - so tomorrow should be great...
