Thanks to Matt Lillard and Peter, craftsman extraordinary, we now have one very heavy chairlift swing installed and operating in the backyard. Delivered today, it's a beaut. Forest green, with a custom-made sign, it seems everyone pitched in. The chair hangs from retired snowmaking pipe, the chair has been re-balanced and wood slats replaced. It's in great shape. This chair was originally at Stratton where it lived as the Grizzly lift. Built by Borvig in 1977.

I would love a chair like that in my yard. With the local hill connections I have as well as a husband who welds, I'm wondering why I don't already have one.
Thanks!

Thanks so much for posting this a few weeks ago. A group of us bought a chair and had it delivered as a surprise 40th birthday gift for a friend! The guy we gave it to loved it and was completely shocked and amazed. I think our chair shared the ride with yours from VT. We got the traditional red. It's beautifully built and swings great.
