Instead of springing ahead on the first Sunday in April we will set clocks ahead one hour on 03/12/2005 & set them back on the first Sunday in November.

I thought it wasn't until 2007?

I also read somewhere that it's not set in stone - part of the law are economic reports on the actual cost (nearly all technological) of this change, and that if found to be expensive (it will cause a lot of technology to be wrong, some of which can be updated, some can't) or dangerous (think air traffic control, for example) it won't happen.

I'd think they would be able to fix the techno causes, Based on fuel costs anytime I can turn off lights or do stuff outdoors after work.

Back in the 70's it did not mess up our Pong games but kids were walking to school in dark (yes uphill in the snow both ways too! :D )

See website here that backs Michael J.'s point.

I did get the dates someplace so either article was wrong or they are trying to move it up because of price of heating oil & electricity. I did not look at a calender to pick 2nd Sunday in March & first in November.

Heating oil has been coming down as of late so fill up now before first cold snap, more Middle East unrest or another hurricane changes that.

I'm hoping for this winter so I can plan a longer winter March hike & not have to start earlier in order to have more light.
