I could not take the incertitude anymore, whether Killington opens for Thanksgiving, how much would be open, etc. Called in the B&B where we had the reservation with, re-scheduled for the week before Christmas and booked in a trip to Summit Country area for next week. Arriving Tuesday night, leaving Sunday morning; 4 days of skiing at any of Breckenridge, Keystone, ABasin, Vail. Cannot wait!!! I and my girlfriend have never been to Colorado (she’s an expert, I am an advanced-intermediar)). We are probably going to stay in Breck and drive around from there. It’s been dumping snow pretty good yesterday.

Thoughts? Advices?

So excited!!! Thanks for reading –:)

Congratulations

I hate you

I'll be going out there in March, I'll be jealous now and you can be jealous of me then. How's that sound?

My brother lives in Frisco, they got dumped on last night.

Summit County is great.... Copper has a lot of variety and won't be as busy this early in season.

Gotta agree w/skibum here, unless you acclimatize astoundingly fast, you'll both be taking it a blit slower the first few days.
Drink lots of water, e.g. wear a hydration pack on the mountain, you'll be getting more dehydrated than normal.
Personally, I find it difficult to eat lunch and exercise at altitude for a few days, and bring trail mix or GORP too keep the energy levels high
Keep caffeine to a bare minimum, if you have to drink it at all, and get LOTS of sleep.
Sleeping at a higher altitude helps speed the process, as well.

Oh, almost forgot, have a great time!

Thanks for the advices. The altitude sickness worries me a bit. We are both in our early thirties, fit and active. Hope that will help getting over it quickly.

Also I love having coffee in the morning. Couple of cups…

Today's SAT word....

I could not take the incertitude anymore.....

....is definitely "incertitude". I'm going to tell my wife that her chances at controlling the remote tonight are fraught with incertitude.

P.S. Have a great time in CO. You're heading out during the state's monsoon season.

altitude did not catch up to me until the 2nd day, as posted above drink lots of water. I made the mistake of going out drinking the 1st night, it hits you fast and the next morning you will really notice it.
