Thanks Bob. Too bad "deboorah" was a spammer. I deleted the account so we're now back to 1,499. Feel free to post again when the next user joins though... ;)

She had such wonderful free gifts to give away, to. I wonder if she's related to that nice fellow in Nigeria with all that cash he needs to get out of the country...

Thankx to all.

You're welcome! Although keep in mind about 1/2 of those people don't post.

never understood why you would register then not post once :-?
Likewise. I've heard that some folks like to have new topics since they're last visit highlighted and that's not possible unless you register, but I would think you'd only bother to register if you plan to post.

Yeah, you always have to wonder if they're terminal lurkers, or following a search hit or something. Little do they know all the wonderful things that come with active membership. I mean, just think of all the...well, there's that time we got...uhm, what about the free...hmmm...why am I here again?

Oh yeah- that's it!

I think many start lurking, then become posters. I prefer to have the convesations viewed and discussed by active members. So stop lurking and register.

In regards to posts and e-mails from Nigeria, I must delete about 5-10 of those kind of e-mails every day.

Anthing that has the title:

Dear noble sir
Immediate assitance required
Urgent action necessary
Your immediate attention is needed

Gets deleted

I call them the my brothers, sistes, cousins aunt died in a plane crash and left me $35,000,000 kind of e-mails.

I wonder, since we're such a big group. We can form a quazi ski club and get group discounts on lift tickets. I'm willing to pay for a membership with perks. There's a NYC ski club called the Diamond Dawgs that has a similar setup. Bob, Trailboss ..... get on it! ;)

I've had the idea of an AZ "membership" for some time now. With a yearly subscription, you would receive all sorts of perks including discounts at various mountains, perhaps a "supporters" forum like EpicSki has, maybe a Tee-shirt or bumper sticker, etc. I just don't know if it's plausible given the admistrative overhead involved (i.e. time and $$$). For those of you that followed the NEVSki (New England Virtual Ski Association) thing on SJ, you'll know that it's not an easy thing to pull off. It doesn't seem like it lasted even one year as the Web site is nowhere to be found now...
