I can't find any pictures of it and I don't know what it's called, but it's like a reverse back scratcher. Where you bring the tips up to your face.

Plake used to do it all the time. Anybody got a clue? It's clear I don't...

I'm thinking either Daffy or Backscratcher will win this poll.
Please vote based on the trick, not the tricker... ;)

Forgot one, folks.....

....and I can't remember what it was called, but I always thought it was the epitome of cool. I'll try to describe. Here it is:

Left leg is straight out, about 45 degrees, like the front half of a daffy but not all the way out and up. Upper right leg is also forward and parallell-ish with upper left leg. Then it is bent at knee and the lower right leg is kind of kicked out (rakishly, of course) so the back of the ski is by your butt, and the front is splayed outwards and away from the left leg ski plane.

Done with big air...and a casual, slow, insouciant attitude....it was simply a chick-magnet move. Well, it worked for everyone else....

P.S. A good old slow copter was also pretty cool, and would be #2 on my list. A great variant on the 360 would be the scratcher-copter.

P.P. S. Spread Eagles probably were the least glamorous of these moves, but when done slow and huuuuuuuuuggge.....they were awesome looking.

Ahhh....the 70's. Long live Spider Sabich and Fritz Stammberger.

i still do spreaders when ever i get the chance. though i never go for the extreme extension as shown above. i am a conservative spreader, i guess you could say. you could also say, i like to spread them.

I love to throw down a spread still.

A cool variation is the kosak where the pole go between the legs:

Never had the *ahem* balls to try that one. I can only imagine not getting the poles out for the landing...

I can do a weak back scratcher and have attempted likely similar lame-looking daffies. The twister look great when combined with a spread but I've never tried a twister either. Seems like a good way to throw out your back...

What are you calling these tricks old school for. They are the only tricks I can do.

My favorite is the spaffie. It is daffie spread wide to the sides. Especially the triple-spaffie.

Here is a photo of one from last year:

I can also be seen in this video (all teleskiers):http://www.rmartens.com/Movies/SSnHP.mpg

I also like the twister-twister-spread, heli spreads, the roo (zepher-backscratcher-ballgrab spread)

I always called that one the spraffy (a combo of spread eagle and daffy). Also my favorite trick.

Good bourbon comes in 750 ml bottles with a cork, too.
Henry McKenna 10 year single barrel
Eagle Rare
Knob Creek.

All corked.
Unless I'm around, in which case they're empty.

So there!
