It also works the other way around. I worked a rental shop in the MR valley one year. It's amazing how many people will see the bumber sticker as a challenge which they have to take in spite of the weather or conditions (not to mention their abilities). I remember one group led by a very crazy woman who were waiting for me when I opened the shop when the temps were around 30 below. I warned her that this was not the day to ski with the clothing they had. She insisted stating >>We just drove 5 hours and "we can ski Mad River Glen"!!! We won't go home without doing it.<< So I rented her and her sheepish following boots and skiis reluctantly. They were back before noon. When it comes to kids and novice skiing. All that type terrain at MRG lies in the lower elevations. The cover can be thin or non-existent there when the expert terrain has great snow. Be warned of it.
