I have some questions regarding working for one versus working for a large company.

Thanks

Yup, great being your own boss, makes it easier to take a quick ski day every now and then ;) On the flip side, if your not working, generally speaking, your not bringing in any $$ to pay for those ski day lift tixs!

ive primarily worked for small companies. Usually less than 100 employees...I love it...lots of flexibility and more of a "family" atmosphere.

I work for a very small company- just the owner and me. Great to work for, but the big company benefits aren't there.

What are your questions? I have owned a small business and worked for both, there are no pat answers, depends on the business/company and your preferences/situation.

Exactly. Its very hard to generalize, there are pros and cons to both. My Father owns a Medium-sized business that's industrial in nature. They manufacture corrugated shipping containers. Yup, a box factory, just like Hurley on Lost. He has to deal with Union and non-union issues, shipping, receiving, sales, production, etc....
My wife works for a small business that's Commercial in nature. They are consulting engineers who do the engineering work for architechts and commercial builders.
I work for the vast, bloated corporate hell known as AT&T, otherwise know as a big corporation.

I can give you some insight to any size business, but like SRO said, there really are no "cut and dried" answers.

Fire away!

I own a small company with no employees besides myself. It allows great flexibility in schedules but as Dr Jeff said if you don't work you don't make any money. The key is finding something you really like doing. A big plus is there are no meetings and you have no one above you to .........(fill in the blank).
