The Weather Channel showed cherry trees that are in blossom in Central Park:-o
I heard about the cherry blossoms being out in D.C., but I had no idea that was happening so far north!

I also heard we're heading for record temps in CT tomorrow... 65 degrees. :(

Can I ask a dumb question though? Isn't sap something like the "blood" of the tree? So by tapping for 5 months instead of 2 months, couldn't that essentially be bleeding the trees dry instead of just doing a little blood-letting? ;) Just a thought...

Thats what I saw on T.V and it's currently 61F in Central Park and the record high temperature for today is 63F.

These ultra high overnight minimum temperatures are a hallmark of global warming.

Are they though? The record high for tomorrow was set in 1950 :???:

That not all that long ago which would fit in with global warming. Moscow set and all time record high temperature for the month of December at 8.1C (46.5F) on December 15th breaking the old record from February 17th, 1989.

Conversely Moscow came within 1degree C of setting an all time record low last winter:-?

It seems that 1950 was a warm winter, I would have to look back to see what the rest of the year was like, here are my areas records in jeapordy:

So far from poking aroung the 1949-1950 season was brutally cold in the Pacific Northwest, which can only translate into record highs here. The Northwest is supposed to have an Arctic outbreak next week.

You ever notice they only mention the records that are broken? Never the ones that aren't. There are still many warn weather records that have yet to be broken, don't blame global warming. There are always some offseasons'
