End of the world - 12/21/2012

It is now 0000 (12:00AM) on 12/21/2012 here in Bagram, Afghanistan.

Was the world supposed to end immediately at the stroke of midnight, or start collapsing slowly, then speed up exponentially at midnight? All is well (or as normal as it can be) here.

With the amount of rain currently falling around here it sounds like the end of the skiing world... :smash:

North NY and North Vermont are doing okay, Stowe reporting 3-5 inches of snow as of 6 am.
Their suppose to get a little rain this afternoon up in the spine of green mountains and ADKs then more snow tonight.

I would of thought the end of the world would of been a little more exciting.

The Mayan's never said the world was going to end, it was just the end of the calander. I like the reply one historian gave when they asked him why the calander ended today. He said "Maybe they just ran out of stone".
