So who's you're favorite non American racer. Anja Paerson is mine. Looove those northern girls. Like that slide she does at the finish. The Herminator is always a favorite too. Consider him to be one of the greatest of all time. I mean how many people can come back to win races after having their leg sewn back on. A bronze and a silver so far...amazing.

Me 8) lol

That Coors light must be getting to you.

I go with: Ingmar Stenmark(Smooth like butter)

But the "Herminator" is right in there.

Hmmm...well let's see. Am I american ? Nope...check. Am I a racer ? Yup...FIS carded...check. When I enter a race...do I favor me to win ? If I didn't ...what would be the point in entering in the first place ? CHECK! lol 8)

Gotta love Maier for the comeback. Truly remarkable.

I'm with King on Paerson, any skier that has a holiday named for her in her country is good in my book.

Marc Girardelli was the man of his time. Completely dominated for a couple years...

I will always consider Franz Klammer my favorite racer just because of his gold medal run in the downhill in the '76 olympics. That was without any doubt the craziest go for broke out of control run ever.

Greatest after Jean Claude Killy triple medal feat? or Klammer's run in '76 at Innsbruck? or the single person domination by Stenmark (over the rest of the world)?

The Herminator!

Granted his equipment is superior compared to the others but his spirit is what makes him great!

Someday someone should make a movie about the lives of Croatia's Janica and Ivica Kostelic and their father. Truly an unbelievable story of overcoming ridiculous obstacles to achieve the highest point of their sport. For my money, Janica is the best woman ski racer of all time and an inspiration.
