Really? I'm sure the people who geographically live in 99.743% of New York State proper thought that an odd decision. LOL
Tremendously misleading statistic given that people outside the NYC metropolitan area make up only 36% of NY States population.

Also you’ll be happy to know that it’s a public holiday in New Jersey as of last year as well. New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy signed a joint resolution making Lunar New Year a public holiday in the state, saying "New Jersey is home to the third-largest per capita population of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the nation, which is why it is important to honor and embrace the rich traditions of our diverse AAPI community.”

Reading composition is a wonderful thing. He didn't say 99.743% of the population. He said "the people who geographically live in 99.743% of New York State proper"

I’m fully aware of what BG said. It’s like posting a red/blue map of US voting results and saying 90% of the geographic area of the US votes Republican. True, but misleading.

Yup..a light rain..so nothing like the one 20 years ago...but its pretty warm.
