Thank you! I think I will check it out. It’s close. I am in gorham the land of cheap beds and Chinese buffets.

My new-this-season-but-heavily-abused armadas are my rock ski now. They took a major ding and have a fatality. I skied them at BMOM today and while I wished for a wider ski a few times, I was ultimately glad to be on the beaters. Saddleback was pow ski day

I beat the wind and am skiing pow at Black mountain of Maine, and wow what a gem

It’s giving me magic platty mad vibe

Saddleback yesterday was my best day of eastern skiing in my entire life. Insane.

They are down today and so is river so I came here and I’m so glad I did

Pics are now at Bmom

Heading to Saddleback Wednesday - haven’t heard much on conditions there so happy for the report. Can’t wait to hit all the goodies off the Kennebago.

There was a decent amount of snow after lifts closed yesterday at SR. Today the river was completely shut down except for the 2 bottom lifts - more of the same expected tomorrow. After that and two days of wind the woods should be nicely reloaded across all of Maine.

Anyone know why media coverage of this is nil? Asking for a friend.

Probably because this extremely biased website that you always post is misrepresenting what this means (not sure if it is intentional or they simply don't understand it). The recent gains may have been higher than other years, but overall the arctic sea ice extent is still at record lows...

To put it another way, would you rather have a salary of $100K and gain $1K? Or would you rather have a salary of $50K and gain $10K? Gains are larger in the second one, but overall you're still making less. That's the point this "article" completely overlooks. The graph also only represents gains and doesn't show the losses during the warmer months (they simply show a 0 as their lowest possible number). So you could lose a larger number in the summer than you're gaining in the winter, but this graph completely ignores that part of the equation.

missin the point CD - just never hear about the volcano ( many predicted this outcome) as a reason we've had such great snow- w no warm up. As for bias websites, aren't they all to one degree or another? The point most never consider is nature has far more to do with climate than anything anthropogenic we try. Satellite images are from '79 on- not much of a sampling- neither is 1850's. Snow is great and everyones is enjoying it. Thats the best part of all.

Slug hiding in the trees :ROFLMAO: What are you doing back there? Just kidding.

Another foot plus at Winter Park this morning. (40 + over 4 days) Son is trying to make it up there but it snowed in Denver too so it could be a long ride.

The narrative section of the revelstoke report bothers me with its poetry. Every day it’s like this -

“The storm drapes the mountain in fresh snow, its magic growing stronger by the hour. This afternoon will bring the best conditions, soft and deep for those who wait. Morning riders will find the groomers at their finest—smooth, fast, and true—before the powder works its quiet enchantment off-piste”

Sounds like an appeal to the crew who buys up 2nd homes, and renovates them for the STR market and gives them a fancy sounding name such as "Whispering powder chalet" for it's VRBO listing! ;):ROFLMAO:

Today was awesome. Dumping snow up high. So odd to ski down into rain at the end of the day. The 5000 vert groomer after a day of aggressive tree skiing feels never ending. Dreary as fuck in town. Powder up high!

i dont want to start a new thread and i cant believe this thread fell so far back the board. speaks to our recent shitty weather stretch. :D

i caught the norovirus (holee shit that was wild) and didnt get out for the spring skiing this past weekend, and im itching to get out, and looks like we may have some snow in bound. ive also not been in new england since before mid-feb, so i have no idea the current on the ground state of things.

this weekend - cannon/sunday river/waterville play vs sugarbush/killington/stratton/magic play?

My son has a state cup game on Sat. I was planning on heading to southern Vt hotel after his game with him and made a rezzy yesterday when I saw the GFS on SM.
Snow-forecast had abt 12 inches dropping from late thurs thru Friday when I checked last night and early this AM. Not sure what happened but now nothing but a dusting.
