Fi'zi:k Arione Versus Carbon Saddle
We know that there are many among us who love a thin, firm racing saddle. But there are plenty of folks who prefer something with a bit more padding. Thats why Fi'zi:k added the Arione Versus Carbon to its lineup. Based on the beloved Arione shape, it adds a pressure relief channel down the middle, promoting blood flow without resorting to a full-blown cutout. The ample padding enhances comfort for long days in the saddle, but thanks to its woven carbon fiber rails, it still comes in at a race-worthy 209g.
The Versus range of saddles makes use of thicker foam than their standard Fi'zi:k counterparts. They are specifically shaped to provide more padding for your sit bones to keep them from getting tender on long rides. For your soft tissue, there's a channel that runs the length of the saddle top. It provides pressure relief and helps to improve airflow. Versus marks the first time we've seen a channel in Fi'zi:k saddles. The designs have been in development for quite some time, but they've just determined the shapes to be ideal through long-term laboratory blood flow analysis and thermal mapping of multiple groups of test subjects.
A crucial part of the Arione's appeal is the Wing Flex technology, allowing the saddle to flex in key areas along the front of the "wings" of the saddle. This yields a virtually custom fit without sacrificing the critical shell rigidity and support you need for optimal power transfer and comfort. Combine Wing Flex technology with the fact that it's slightly narrower and longer than the Aliante, and you'll feel supported and won't give up one whit of style to get there. The carbon fiber rails are built on unidirectional fibers for added strength and road-tuned dampening, while enabling Fi'zi:k to keep the Arione Versus under 210 grams.
The Fi'zi:k Arione Versus Carbon Saddle is available in one size (132mm) and in the color Black/white.
