I found this picture I took from 5/16/2002. For those skiing at Killington, what happened to the sign? I did not see it as I exited the Superstar lift this year.

I see a trail called "Old Superstar". I remember skiing Killington in May in either 1988 or 1989, would that of been the "Superstar" trail back then?

Did you ski Old Supe when you were there? It's a fun trail. They don't groom it and it does not get much traffic. One of my favorites.

Not sure if it was Superstar back in late 80s though, or if it was earlier. I wasn't skiing K back then.

I believe it was. I only skied the original Superstar a handfull of times, all over 30 years ago. Great trail, very old school, realtively narrow and twisty. Most of it is lost in the new boulavard that we know today.

Agree with Sprite on this one, especially after a good snow day!

I didn't get to Killington once this season and I don't miss it one bit. Is that a bad thing?

I bought that ASC Bronze pass thinking(gambling) that I'd get early and late turns...
I didn't... I rode a few days there... Thats it..

Next year I'm just going to drive the extra to Sugarbush or MRG...

No ozskier! It's a good thing. More room for those of us who do go regularly.

(and I did make good use of my gold pass this season 8) )

If you go up there and have a share house or whatever - it is a good thing..
Great deal...

I just happen to like Sugarbush better...

Frankly, I like Sugarbush better too. But that extra hour makes it really impractical at this stage w/ a young kid & being a weekend warrior.

I bet a lot of people feel this way. Don't get me wrong, Killington is sweet sometimes. But SB is the real deal.

Killington for me is about 3:15 - 3:30. I've only done it as a day trip once or twice. We made it to Sugarbush this season in 3:45 (we were staying there). Granted the roads were clear and my wife (leadfoot) was driving. I may consider doing the 'Bush as a day trip next year...

My sentiments as well. In 2000-2001 when I had an ASC All East Pass that was good at both, I spent most of my time at the Bush and hit Pico whenever I wanted a change of pace. My skiing at K Mart was midweek...I've got a good sense of the place.

I, too, enjoy the Old Superstar trail as well. :D

Still tossing around the idea of another ASC pass for this coming season...

That was the marketing of the "K" a few years ago, when you could ski until mid-june. I remember skiing fathers day in 1999. Thats all changed now.
As for the sign, it's in my garage now.

Thanks. I really like the Killington discussion you had with the communications guy. Hope to see more of that.

Yeah, you guys can keep Killington. The only reaason I'm usually there is to ski early and late season on my pass. I usually get up there for some post Ski Maynia turns but I just didn't have the motivation this year with the baseball games and parties friends were having. Ohh well.
