How does one (female, of course) get in on those get togethers? And how do you handle the family responsibilities?
MommaBear, As Severine says, the SkiDivas plan on several GTG's during the year. You know those credits Greg talks about all winter long? Banking for ski trips? Well, I let him go on some ski trips and then I get one of my own. Kids stay home with daddy.Only problem is that I can't afford to do the big CO trip every year... SIGH. The Ski Diva is the place to be to hook up with other women skiers, though. They're planning a trip to Tahoe, IIRC, next year with a clinic. Too expensive for me but I'm sure I'll get together with some of the Divas for an Okemo day trip and perhaps, if I'm REALLY lucky, another Mother's Day trip to A-basin.

One is usually in February at Okemo, Another big trip(This year Tahoe) and then there is the Mothers day Weekend getaway at Abasin.
One thing you can do is post here (or on SkiDiva) and say you want to get a bunch of women together for a day trip and see who comes out of the woodwork! It works, it really does!!!
abc, most, but not all, contemporary jackets with hoods have hoods that can go over your helmet. Check that feature out when you go jacket shopping next and you'll be amazed at how much you like that. But do you put the hood over the helmet or under?
The hood of my jacket isn't big enough to put over the helmet. But I can't figure out how to fit it under...![]()
I am retiring one of my jackets this year(giving it to one of my GF's daughters) and replacing it with one with a hood that goes over my helmet, like my light weight Marmot shell does.
THAT will be a MUST feature of all my ski jackets in the future.
