Giro Atmos Helmet

BLA.jpg

How much do we love the Giro Atmos Helmet? So much that it has been a permanent fixture in our cycling closets since it first appeared on the scene. Sure, we've flirted with some new, good-looking lids, but we always have come back to our true love.
The Atmos was the first helmet that ever looked amazing while also saving our lives. It had tons of air channels, was light, and was seriously durable back when most helmets looked awful and weighed heavily on the head. It still looks so cool, and works so well that it is the most popular helmet we've ever sold. The Atmos was so groundbreakingly good because it was the first helmet that made use of the In-Mold Composite reinforcement. Through the use of the In-Mold construction process, the outer shell has been permanently fused to the impact absorbing EPS foam liner. This process enhances the effectiveness of both parts. In fact, the fusion process actually reinforces those formerly vulnerable spots around the vents and ribs. It results in a lighter, more durable, and better-ventilated helmet. The Roll Cage internal reinforcement gives the added protection that you'll be glad to have next time someone takes you down in the final corner of a criterium.
The amazing comfort that the Atmos offers has been one of the main reasons for its longevity. Giro has taken over 20 years of helmet design to establish their proprietary Super Fit Engineering. What that means is that they have created the helmet in three sizes based on 'human scale factors' data that they have amassed throughout their history of hand crafting helmets. The helmets are intended to fit snugly and securely while still accommodating the vast majority of head sizes.
Giro's development of their Roc Loc 5 Fit System makes those micro-adjustments possible. With the Roc Loc system, you can custom tune the fit tension as well as the fore-aft tilt of the helmet in seconds with one hand. Though other helmet manufacturers have similar adjustability options, none of them even come close to the weight savings that the Roc Loc system offers: it's almost 40% lighter than comparable systems.
Keeping your head cool during even the hottest, most critical road races is something Giro has focused a lot of attention on. Their helmets are developed with their proprietary Wind Tunnel Ventilation System. It is an elaborate design that combines 26 vents in the shell with exhaust channels within the belly of the helmet leading to the rear. The effect is that the fresh, cool air from the front is strategically channeled around the head to help evaporate the sweat, then out the rear exhaust openings. It's a natural cooling system that you will appreciate every ride.
The Giro Atmos Helmet comes equipped with its X-Static padding. Color options are: Black/Titanium, Red/Silver, and White/Silver. Sizes are: Small, Medium, and Large.
