There isn't much ski porn that doesn't get my ski nuts off...

I will probably see this year's film. I haven't gotten sick of them yet.

And as for my favorite.... well it was one of the only one's WM himself didn't actually narrate (I don't think... it's been a while since I've seen it and I still haven't found a place online or otherwise that still sells it)...

SnoWhat with Glenn Plake. Great flick. The birds destroying everything in NZ was my favorite. Still trying to remember the name of those things...

I think even the Matchstick crowd would agree Warren started the whole thing so it's good to support him.
i agree warren was one of the originals and did some phenomenal things for ski movie production. but to support a corporation in the present because it's founder (who no longer owns, runs, or operates the company btw) made significant contributions to the industries beginnings does not add up to me. i stop supporting things when they cease to interest, entertain, or satisfy me. WME refuses to show the east coast and only goes places that can pony up some money for them. definitely not the warren used to do things back when the whole thing started. i will financially support those production outfits that listen to their fan base and make a superior product, i will not support a company just because it's founder was an innovator.

That's is too bad the East Coast isn't in the shows much. And while I don't whole heartedly disagree with your point, I know Warren is still getting pretty good benefit from his movies even though he is not running the show. He is starting to slow down a bit, so it was time - it's at least a job to keep his kid out of trouble. True they have grown into quite a mini-corporation with the undesirable traits that come with it (for example, to your point, you have to pay them upwards of $50k a week to come and shoot at your ski resort. Long gone are the days Warren would do it for a free ticket.) Call me jaded but what in sports hasn't gone that way. In the days of 3com park and pac bell park it seems as if very few if any still do it for 'the love of the game'. At least with Warren Miller there is the tradition behind it. And his shows don't suck either. In my home town it's the only show that is played in that swanky theatre that when the curtain goes up, the stage is full of paper airplanes from the efforts of the upper balcony. Whenever one actually makes a landing on the stage, the whole place lets out a big 'ROAR'. That's good entertainment!
