We were on the flats, and my bud reminded me that she was probably pissed because she had lost all her momentum. Double bad me. :(

You didn't offer to tow her to get going again?? Geesh :)

I have a snowboarder and used to have to tow him often thru the flats (not enough weight to keep going on his own). Now when I see one kind of stuck and swinging their arms, I offer out a ski pole but most don't understand as I come by (despite my "want a tow?").

I've been known to give a pole to a boarder or two to help them out on a long flat. Looks painful to see them kind of flopping around trying to get to some pitch.
