haven't bought new boots in years...unfortunately I research trails far more than I actually hike them...but it's time.

I had a great pair made by a New Balance division that came in the 4E widths. felt like slippers and served me great.

now it seems like every pair I try on or read about runs narrow. and New Bal. doesn't have good hiking boots anymore.

You can check out Hiltons Tent City near North Station. Kind of a hole in the wall but there's all kinds of great stuff there and affordably priced.

LLBean in burlington. Many of their hiking boots & shoes are available in 2E width. If they dont have exactly what you want in the store, you can order stuff thru the website at the store and they'll ship to you for free.
