Date(s) Skied: 12/30/12
Resort or Ski Area: Gore Mountain
Conditions: Everything from powder to solid hardpack, sometimes 5 feet apart.
Trip Report: The big story today, was really wind. Anything being hit by it the wrong way (like Upper Sunway), would turn into a rock. However, anything not wind blown (or better yet, where the powder was blowing TO, like the glades), was great.
High Peaks and the North Quad were pretty wind free and some of the best skiing.
Lots of great skiing all over though, Chatiemac was amazing under the guns, as was Twister. Much of the rest of the hill was great, as long as the wind wasn't blowing there.
No complaints about the day, they were really trying to keep the lifts running, they had to open and close often early in the day.
