It's miserable and raining...the perfect time to go out and photograph waterfalls in the Warren/Granville area.

This is Warren Falls, a popular area swimming hole.

nice shot, SRO. i think it would better cropped to remove the white space. what stiching program do you use? i have used photovista panorama for the last half dozen years or so but after a demo recently, i have decided panorama factory is a far superior product and will likely make the purchase this ski season. word is from their forums that the standard version of v4.4 will work with linux via WINE or such programs which pretty much seals the deal for me. waters are running very high up here, strong rain and winds and some thunder.

Don't really have any fancy stitching software I just stick 3 imgs together where they line up and then use the clone tool to remove the lines. I could have cropped out the white but that would have removed too much of the botoom of the third pic.

When I take the shots I just move the camera as level as I can and shoot each image. If I was using my film camera it would be on a tripod which would do a better job. You can also get a special panorama tripod head with level but I don't have one.

Swimming

When I lived in Warren, I was taken up to that swimming hole by a guy that had been an Olympic diver. There's one ledge that was rather fascinating to him. He didn't do the dive when I was there as he was building up his courage for it. Anyone familiar with that dive? I never found out if he ever took the plunge. However, he was a pretty crazy guy. I wouldn't doubt that he did. By the way a native of Waitesfield told me about a short climb outside of town that I believe has a waterfall. It's across the river from Inverness Ski shop. He said he would tell me all about it because he knew I would never climb there. He has been right so far. I don't climb much any more, but I used to be into climbing or scrambling for the waterfalls. In fact last winter I was up in Franconia notch and made one interesting one. Its rather remarkable that this guys prophecy has been true up to now, but I really don't want to make a liar out of him.
