Thought I'd burn a vacation day today. Decided to hit Greek before the weekend, fresh snow, no crowds. Not much open, but what was, was sweet. Mainly Fields and Alcemene, skier's right on Fields was where I stayed, for the most part. I did venture into the woods off Fields, but cover was still a little thin there, should be great with more snow. Alcemene was nice without it's mid winter ice, it did get a little bare on the lower part later in the day, bare spots were easily avoided.

I'd say they got an additional foot since last Sunday. I bet Olympian would have skied nicely today. Fields was fun, it was deep at the bottom of the drop. Might have drifted there, I'd say closer to foot and a half. First time I hit it was like Holy $hit, there's a lot of snow here.

Looks like Iliad, Karyatus will join the line up for this weekend. Probably Castor and Trojan too, Kristie's . I doubt the park will be open, my son said the practice park will probably be it, I don't know if it was open today. It was very enjoyable to ski fresh snow all day this early in the season, I had a ball.

I also made it to Greek this afternoon 12/9 from Noon til 4:30. Not bad, no ice. They opened Kayratis Way about 3:00 pm. Does anyone know, how many sno-guns Greek can run at one time...? I would guess 22 to 26 maybe. A lot of gung ho sno-boarders were there raring to go and a lot showed up later for the last hour. Looks like the lower Progression park is about ready to open. Should be decent for Saturday. A lot of snowmaking capacity being used on the Tubing center.

Took a few pics:

Showed up to work today, worked two and a half hours, off to Greek again. Hope the rain holds off this weekend. Maybe it'll be snow a Greek, I hope so.

Other than the obvious Holiday weeks, yes. The place is usually "empty" until 10A.M. or so. Put it this way, when I ski on Tuesday mornings it's me and like 7 retired guys on the hill......starts to fill up late morning and afternoon's are slammed with kids once school gets out.

Honestly, even the weekends aren't bad early A.M.
