about 10" of new Awesome news there.

about a 1/2 inch of nasty nasty crust on top of it. bummer.

currently snowing pretty good at the base. hopefully they pick up a good chunk today.

Grassi apparently hit the deck about 50 times trying to ski that crust.

lol, maybe on Grassi's head.

didnt ask. they were in the lodge waiting for other skiers to break up the junk and for more snow to fall.

:D I was just going to post an update from Brian (which was more brief in that what Austin predicted is not the case and the skiing isn't bad).

he said the lower mtn was fine. crust was negligible. it was the upper areas that were tougher.

bastard was really calling so he could get a radar update, which currently shows a nice blob of moisture headed their way. they should have a damn good afternoon assuming the crap gets busted up enough.

Snowing now west of Sugarbush and has been...but that crust is nasty...about 1/2 inch. A mixed blessing in my book, but a net gain.

MRG isn't open yet but their report says "crusty powder".

Jay admits to some crust and goes on to say it's snowing heavily and may lay down another 6 - 8".

If it keeps up I am heading up tonight.

All of VT got crust on top of whatever. Stowe reports from actual skiers said 6 inches and a crust. This morning it wasn't too bad, but as temps dropped, it set up more. Sounds like whiteface is the winner.

If you are hiking. The ghondola is on wind hold. I tell you it may be a good morning for a walk up the hill in the am. There is a lot of loaded spots up there from the summit down. No tracks yet
I drove down to Ticonderoga this morning. Around scroon lake it started raining and it was 23 degrees out. WTF.
