10 being the best. Sure has not been a nice week for snow conditions. How is the grooming at the area that you ski and ride at?
K-Zone is really bashing their grooming. I thought they have done a good job in the past. Sounds like they are struggling this season. Again the weather has not been the best either. Sounds like next week will be another challange for North East areas.

Found the above web site for grooming. Maybe something to check out to understand what grooming is all about.

I'll give my home mountain Mohawk an eight out of ten for grooming today! The surface was super nice but understandably they are reluctant to level out the snowmaking wales.

Sugarbush had a 9 today, 10 on Organgrinder and Deathspout. The snow really set up well.

Another one of my many projects! :D

Grooming here at Sugarbush has actually been pretty good. I was up last night, and we had pretty good luck tilling it out. We didn't get hit hard with the nasty icy stuff that the more southern areas got. We certainly had some crust to contend with, but nothing too serious. Bladable and tillable. That's all that matters! It was very windy up there overnight, though. And COOOOLD!

Gotta give Mount Snow a solid 9. Excellent job, very smooth and consistant. Might hit the 10 spot tommorrow with all of the fan guns they've got running tonight on both open and inaccessable terrain in this cold, dry weather.

Taking into consideration the weather and power outages, I give Killington a 6/7. I've seen much worst under ASC and didn't complain about that, and as you all know, I'm one big complainer.

I'd give SR a 10. It was awesome skiing yesterday. It was the best I have seen there this season. A great recovery from the ice storm!

I'll give Blue mountain a 6.5 out of 10..Based on the weather they did a good job but they need to groom slower and make more passes..

Wachusett is still closed due to the icestorm and resulting power outage so we have not been able to ski there lately and see what condition the mountain is in.

I'll give my home hill Mt. Southington a 0 out of 10 for grooming this week. They made a ton of snow on our open slopes with the cold snap Sunday night through late afternoon Monday...THEN, someone decided that it would be a "good idea" to flatten out all of the large whalebacks in the middle of the rain event that we had this week while temps were climbing into the upper 50s :???: Needless to say, they spread the snow thin and a large portion of it disappeared

I can't rate mine...the Crotch is closed. Still no word from PSNH as to when they'll get power back in that area. It's a mess.

wow golf balls again.
not as bad, but bad enough where we only did one run top to bottom. Top 1/3 of the trail was actually really decent, just not worth having to do the bottom 2/3's. I though Midway was pretty good but that only brings you back to lower Main St.

I will second that.

We skied Friday and it was really soft from the rain but started to glaze over by the afternoon. We all though Saturday was going to be a very bad day of skiing but the crew ar the River really came through. They made snow all night and did a great job grooming. The skiing was very good until about 2:30 / 3:00 when things started to get skiied off and icy. But we were able to get in many good runs before then.

I'll third that! Friday morning I was skiing in the rain and after noon the temps dropped fast and everything froze. I thought for sure Saturday was going to be boiler plate but SR's crew did a great job.
